On June 28th, 2013, Westport acquired BAF Technologies and its subsidiary, ServoTech Engineering.

ServoTech Engineering was established in 1987 by Dr. Hamid Servati as a powertrain R&D engineering company. ServoTech has designed and developed exhaust aftertreatment systems for TLEV, LEV, ULEV, SULEV and PZEV compliance for spark-ignition gasoline engines. ServoTech is a Ford Qualified Calibration Modifier, QCM.

In 1999, ServoTech launched production of diesel aftertreatment systems including selective catalytic reduction (SCR) and diesel particulate filter (DPF) controllers and dosing systems applicable for engines with displacements ranging from 2 to over 600 liters. DeNOxer is a NOx reduction system for high horsepower engines.

ServoTech offers a total engineering solution from initial concept phase to prototype hardware and final prove-out, including design and development of electronic products, software development, automotive exhaust simulation and testing, spark-ignition gasoline and diesel emissions technology, and offers technical training and education in a variety of subject areas.


ServoTech, a registered ISO 9001:2000 company and is a prime mover in the automotive emissions community, offering services in research, development, and testing for both diesel and spark ignition engines, manufacturing, software design and development, engine management systems, and technical training and education.
